Our Beginnings

Founded in 2015 by Aaron Aubin, Aubin Consulting is rooted in the belief that generational development and reconciliation go hand-in-hand. We are proud to be an Indigenous-owned firm, and we bring our deep understanding of Indigenous culture, values, and protocols to every project we undertake.

AARON AUBIN | BES, RPP, MCIP

PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

A strategic collaborative leader with over 25 years of experience in planning, engagement, and infrastructure development. Aaron brings a deep commitment to working alongside Indigenous communities and governments, fostering relationships rooted in respect, trust, and shared vision. He excels at guiding complex, multi-stakeholder projects and creating space for inclusive, place-based solutions that reflect the needs and aspirations of all partners.

DIRECTOR OF PLANNING & ENGAGEMENT

James is a seasoned and values-driven planner with a strong track record of leading complex projects through challenging regulatory environments. Known for building meaningful relationships and mentoring high-performing teams, he brings clarity, collaboration, and strategic focus to every stage of the planning process.

KATHERINE MARTENS, CPA

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

A thoughtful and impact-oriented finance professional who combines strategic insight with operational clarity. Katherine is known for her sharp analytical skills, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to ethical, sustainable business practices. She helps teams align financial strategy with long-term vision while building systems that foster accountability and resilience.
